Hi, I'm Katelyn!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) working as a psychotherapist in Austin, Texas.

I hold experience within both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. I have provided group and individual therapy to persons suffering from various levels of mental health issues including but not limited to, depression, suicidal ideations, anxiety, mania, mood disturbance, and psychosis.

Reaching out for help is a commendable strength that takes a lot of courage. I understand therapy as a journey unique to each individual and am committed to walking alongside each client towards peace and healing.

How I Help

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen, understood, and accepted. My approach to therapy is psychodynamic, person-centered, and relational, meaning I work collaboratively with clients to explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to shape their present lives. Together, we make sense of difficult emotions, recurring challenges, and self-defeating beliefs with curiosity and compassion.

I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe enough to be honest about their experiences and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others. I also recognize that healing does not happen in isolation. Each person's story is influenced by the social, cultural, and systemic forces around them, and I remain mindful of how systems of oppression and structural inequities impact the challenges clients bring into the therapy room.
